If only it worked that way.
We got our heating bill for January, and it was over $150.00!!! We had noticed that our house cooled off VERY quickly each night.
Mike went up into the attic and discovered Frost on all the roofing nails, and that it was actually pretty warm up there (comparatively). We were loosing all our heat into the attic!
Mike's project for last week was re-insulating the attic. There WAS insulation up there, but it was about 30 - 50 years old, blown in fluff that had settled and really wan't doing much.
He went out to the Home Improvement Store and bought over $300.00 of R-19 Insulation. Dragged it home and then had to figure out how to get these bundles of insulation up into the attic.
That's where I came in. I was at the bottom, shoving these big things up through the hatch, and he was up top, pulling.
There were only a couple of bundles that had to be opened downstairs and the bats brought up one at a time.
Here's pictures! (Mike looks beet red in one of them because he'd been hauling the insulation around for an hour)
