We drove to Utah for Mom's funeral. On our way, we stopped in Davenport to pick up Mike's brother Ben. (It was sooo much cheaper to drive with three drivers than it was to buy three plane tickets.)
Here are some pictures of the trip out. By the way, we took I-80.
We stopped in Grand Island Nebraska (neither grand nor an island) overnight. Then the next day decided that we should have kept going. Because the best time to drive Nebraska, is at night... cause that's when you'll see all that's interesting to see... not much!
Wyoming started out as more of the same, but towards the end, when we hit the mountains, became much more interesting.
We got to Utah just in time for dinner at Johanna's, the day after we left. So a 24 hour worth of driving trip took us approximately 36 hours (counting our night in Grand Island, and all the bathroom breaks).
