What would normally have taken 5 hours to drive through, turned into a 12 hour ordeal.
The blizzard snuck up on us, we got stopped for a couple of hours in Wyoming, then once we got ahead of the storm, we just kept driving to make sure that we stayed ahead of the storm. We drove straight through from Utah to Iowa without stopping. It wasn't until we got to Iowa that the snow finally turned to rain. The car was coated with a thick layer of ice that shattered all over the parking lot when we got out for a potty break.

This just continues the trip through Nebraska... This time we did it right! Nebraska at night!
