I had to call in sick today because of a pretty bad cold. I couldn't breathe, I hadn't slept well, and I was pretty sure that if I had gone to work, I wouldn't have made it through the day.
Ever noticed that when you are sick, there are some things that you have to do otherwise you don't feel better? For me, it's wearing sweats and fuzzy socks, sitting on the couch with a warm blanket, and a cup of hot tea with sugar and milk. My daytime TV watching selections vary, but there's always one show that I end up watching, regardless of the day, illness, or mood.
This show is oddly zen. Watching a man paint a landscape, with his slow, calm monotone voice is so soothing. It's almost become a sick-day tradition. I don't know why. I always feel a little better after watching his show. It's weird.
Gotta love those happy little trees!
I do feel better though.
What do you do when you're sick that helps you feel better?
