It's taken an extra week, but we finally have our own computer (and internet connection) back up and running!
We were having "diplomatic discussions" with the internet service provider about when they were supposed to come. Mike had requested internet over a week ago online, got a confirmation number, and three dates for them to show up... they didn't.
So Mike called them. "I'm sorry, but we don't have any record of that transaction. Do you have a confirmation number?"
"Yes, you emailed it to me, but I can't get to my email because we don't have internet!"
"We still don't have any record of the transaction. Would you like to set up internet?"
After a very long conversation on the phone with the ISP, we finally got a date for them to come out and hook us up.
They came yesterday. We're up and running now!
Woohoo.
