Fixing the Hole in the Floor

When we removed the wall a while a go, it left a hole right in the middle of the new door way. We made do by filling the hole with a 2x4 and the covering it with a sturdy piece of cardboard.

This would not do for a party where lots of people would be walking on it. So on Friday morning, he used floor boards that we found under the old cabinets to patch the hole.

The floor still needs to be sanded and re-polyurethaned, but for now, it looks kind of like a fancy "inlaid" floor... kind of.
