#1. The mailbox is this kind of brass art-deco-y/prairie style mail slot. It's pretty cool...built right into the wall of the house. There is a little door on the other side to access the mail.
#2. The exhaust fan in the kitchen is this old fan that still works. You release the chain, it opens the fan to the outside and also starts the engine. When you pull the chain back in again, it closes the flap and turns off the fan. Unfortunately, it's the ONLY exhaust fan in the kitchen. Very 5o's chic!
