How does your Garden Grow?

The Garden was one of the first projects we did when we got the house. We dug up this HUGE mountain of weeds (no pictures, unfortunately) and planted all sorts of stuff.

So here's some of what we've got!

On the left are little plots with Tomatoes, pepprs, beans, beets, cucumbers. On the right are some really sorry looking raspberries (because they were just planted) and a cantaloupe (sp?) and watermelon.

In the boxes are lettuces: many varieties. Next to the house I've got my herb garden. In the pots are peppermint and spearmint (both very invasive...hence the pots). From left to right is: Roman chamomile, parsely, basil, marjoram, oregano, sage, thyme and chives.

This is still part of the herb garden, but moving down the sidewalk. All the way on the right, you can see the pot of peppermint. Coming back from the peppermint from right to left are: Rosemary, Lambs-ear, and Lavendar. What follows next aren't herbs...they're just pretty. The tall green spikey things are Acidanthera. (You can see a picture HERE). Next to the Acidantera are perrenial Geraniums but there aren't many up yet. Next to the Perrenial Geraniums is a Bee Balm (You can see a picture HERE)

Finally, I dug up the front gardens and planted a bunch of annuals just to make it look nice. No picture yet, but It looks decent.

Here's a picture of the really cool neat old tree in our backyard! It is some type of crab-apple or apple tree. But it hasn't been cared for, and the middle is starting to rot out. We are hoping that maybe it will last for a few years yet. I'm thinking of putting a nice bench on the ground in the crook of the tree.
