oops

Mike is working on the electrical, and one of the tasks he is trying to do is set up the kitchen lights on a three-way switch (so we can turn on the lights either coming in the back-door, or coming in from the dining room). Well, in order to set up the switch by the back door, he needs to get to the box that is already there, and that is covered by tile.

Mike walks through the living room where I am sitting going through the junk mail and says: "I'm going to have to cut some of that tile to get to the box. I'm just going to score it with my razor and then take off what I need to."

"As long as you don't mess up the tile. Even though it's hideous, it's in very good shape, no scratches, no broken tiles..."

"I won't dear."

Moments later...

"ooops!"

"what did you do?"

"I slipped and scratched the tile."

At this point, I get up to go look. I couldn't get a good picture, but this scratch extends from 6 inches above the switch to about 8 inches below.

"Mike! Look at this!"

"I said 'oops!'"

"That doesn't make it any better!"
